Student finds teacher listed on ‘fugitive’ Web site: Public records can be a crime-fighting tool. Erik von Ancken of Local 6 News of Orlando reports an Orange County teacher went to jail after a student found the man’s name on a new Web site on Central Florida fugitives. An Olympia High School student typed a teacher’s name in the www.cfcrimelinewarrants.com Web site and found his teacher was wanted by the law regarding a workers compensation fraud charge. Authorities later arrested the man. The story says more than 500,000 visitors used the site within a week of its debut. “"I would not allow a child to spend the night without checking the parents, so why wouldn't I check what kind of teachers are teaching my kids?" parent Donna Raynor told the station. Willoughby Mariano of the Orlando Sentinel expands on the new Web site in this piece, noting that tipsters can turn in a thug and make $1,000. The Web site has details on 43,500 wanted adults.
